Big things are indeed happening.

Part of moving into my new apartment is very good news for the podcast.

For one, I’ll be closer to the other members of the cast, which means we can record more conveniently and comfortably than ever before. Not living with family will mean I’m not going to be worried about anyone getting annoyed by our talking and laughing.

Another great benefit is finally being able to get some decent recording equipment, not even top of the line is necessary, just a set of microphones and a way to adjust sound levels (think: Tony is slightly louder than Nick)

There will be a transition time, so be prepared for some rough audio quality ahead, but the changes will be worth it.

I hate it when hanging out with friends and doing things I like get put on the backburner for annoying things like sleeping and eating.

Increasingly I have found that the rigors of an 8 hour work day (9-10 hours for me) cause strange things to happen to my body. Around 10pm at night I feel this weird sensation in my eyes: they begin to droop and I have to strain them to keep reading or watching TV or whatever I’m doing at that point. It’s a strange sensation, one I’m particularly unfamiliar with at the time that it starts happening.

Yawning has become less a curiosity, and more a way of life. I find that 6 hours rarely cuts it as far as sleep goes.

And somehow, I’ve managed to maintain a cold for the past week. Constantly congested, and with a slight sinus headache.

Sometimes I wish my desk/workfloor job was heavier on the desk than the workfloor. Manufacturing can be pretty rough, especially with the deadlines and rush that happens in the weeks before Christmas (I’m taking all three days after Christmas off, and I want it to stay that way!). But when I finally get to take a break it will have been worth it.

For one, I’ll get to wallow in the pools of unspent cash one accrues while working full time and living at one’s parents’ house (I’m signing a lease on an apartment soon!). Another benefit will be getting to see my family, annoying as they may be. Since I don’t see my brother and sister that much I’m starting to cherish the times they visit (well, notsomuch for my brother).

I’m also looking for towards having time to fix/expand our reviews page, which is desperately unfinished, and to playing all the games I have backlogged since October. The list of unfinished business is long, and I intend to finish some of that business on one of my days off. And then write about it, that way everyone who visits the website will know how to spend all their giftcards.
